Byun Overcomes Illness To Seal a Top 30 Finish in Malaysia
A bogey free final round 68 secured Korean Youngjea Byun a T-27th finish at the ADT Panasonic Malaysia Championship in Kuala Lumpur. Byun had lead the tournament after day one, but struggled on Thursday and Friday, after suffering from a high body temperature, which resulted in a visit to a local hospital.
He was feeling much better on the final day, finding some impressive form, to pick up four birdies and move back up the leaderboard into T-27th. Byun looks like he will be one to watch out for this year on the KPGA Tour, if he continues to perform consistently like he has done over the past few months.
The only other Korean to make the cut, Junhyuk Lee finished in T-47th on -2, with 17 birdies and 15 bogeys over the four days.
