Sei Young Kim Wins Lorena Ochoa Match Play
Sei Young Kim only trailed for four holes throughout the four days, on her way to an impressive victory at the Lorena Ochoa Match Play in Mexico.
The lack of TV coverage was a major disappointment, in an event that featured an exhibition match between some of the greats from the ladies game.
Seri Pak joined host Lorena Ochoa, Annika Sorenstam and Julie Inkster in a two day ‘friendly’ match to add some extra spice to the event.
In the 3rd/4th place playoff, Mi Jung Hur came out on top in an epic battle against Michelle Wie on the 22nd hole, to keep her solid start to 2017 going. Hur was 5 down at one stage. It feels like MJ is on track to pick up a win soon.
Ariya Jutanugarn put up a brave fight against Kim in the final, but eventually succumbed to a 1up loss to the Korean. This was Kim’s sixth LPGA Tour title and elevates her to number 8 in the world rankings.
Seri Pak was on hand to join in the celebrations of another Korean victory on the LPGA Tour.
