JLPGA: More Past Glory For Bo Mee To Feed Off 

2017 has been nothing short of a disastrous season so far for Bo Mee Lee. That’s not just based on her past success, but also her ongoing rapid decline in form, topped off by missing the cut last week, as the defending champion at the Meiji Cup.

Once again, Lee will look to the past in a bid to motivate her to produce the kind of golf everyone knows she is capable of. She won this tournament in 2014. 

It may be somewhat clutching at straws, but winning here three years ago should help her up her game this week. It should but there’s no guarantee it will (please refer to last week’s result…). 

You would also think that the success of her Korean counterparts this season would motivate Lee to join them in the winner’s circle. It’s a given that every golfer will go through a few rough patches in their careers, this is exactly what is happening to Lee currently, and it’s how she reacts and eventually bounces back that will play a major role in defining Lee’s career.

Three time winner this season, Ha Neul Kim has taken over the reigns from Lee, but keep an eye out for Shinae Ahn this week too. Ahn has produced her best performances of the year in Japan, and hopes to play there on a more permanent basis in the near future.
