KPGA: The Caido Series Resumes In Busan

After a five week break, the KPGA Tour is back and set for a pretty full schedule for the second half of the year. With the weather starting to cool down (slightly…), the notorious Haeundae beach area seems like a fitting location for the Dynamic Busan Open.

Entering into its sixth tournament, the Caido Series has been the backbone of the KPGA Tour this year. It has produced some dramatic climaxes and an extremely high level of golf in the previous five tournaments. This week should be no different.

In form Jinho Choi, who won the Dong A Pharmaceutical Matchplay during the season break, looks set to put up a strong challenge over the next few months, as he bids to claim that 2018 European Tour card available to the 2017 top player only.

Korea Open winner Yi Keun Chang returns to try and get in the mix for the end of season top honours, although his situation is more complicated than others. Chang can only remain in Korea for up to seventy days each year, if he wants to avoid the mandatory two year military service. It’s complicated, as stated already, there’s nothing else to say on the matter…

This week is the beginning of a six week stretch of tournaments, including the Shinan Dongae Open and the inaugural Genesis Championship. Let the drama commence…on Thursday!
