KPGA: Palmy Hills C.C. Set For 2nd Daegu Open
The 50th anniversary of Daegu Bank, the chief sponsor of the KPGA Daegu Open, was highlighted today at the tournaments photo promo shoot. Irrelevant information really, but you have to keep the sponsors happy…
Jungho Yoon will be hoping to find some form this week, as he bids to successfully defend his KPGA Daegu Open title at Palmy Hills C.C. Yoon has been battling to reproduce the form he showed to win here last year.
Jinho Choi will once again look to build on his two victories this year. Choi has shown glimpses of top form since winning the SK Telekom for the second time in three years. His Dong A Pharmaceutical Matchplay victory during the summer break was a nice bonus to add to his tally. Choi’s goal is to finish the season on top of the Order of Merit, which will be rewarded with a full European Tour card for 2018.
Korea Open champion Yi Keun Chang will be hoping for an improvement on last week’s showing, as he bids to challenge for the top KPGA honors sporadically over the next few months.
Junghwan Lee is arguably the in form player on Tour at the moment. Having won the Caido Series Golden V1 Open, Lee has come close on a few occassions to doubling his tally for the season. Expect him to be in the mix again this week.
