JLPGA: Top 5 Finish For In Gee Chun At The Japan Women’s Open
In Gee Chun returned to Japan this week to once again tee it up at the Japan Womens Open Championship, which she won in 2015. This time round, Chun secured a top 5 finish, maintaining what has been a very consistent, although still winless season.
Jiyai Shin was right in contention from day one and ended up in the runner up position by herself, and incredible 8 shots behind the runaway winner Nasa Hataoka.
Hye Jin Choi also enjoyed another solid week, finishing 9th. It won’t be too long before Choi wins a national title and many more victories seem inevitable for the 18 year old, who is oozing with talent.
Ha Neul Kim had a disappointing final day, which saw her slip down the leaderboard from a very promising position prior to the round. Sky eventually finished T-23rd.
Bo Mee Lee was another one to endure a nightmare Sunday, which saw her slip to T-46th. Lee will be determined to make amends at the Ladies Stanley Golf Tournament up next; a title she won in 2015 and finished runner up in last year.
